Getting to know our team: Erickson Miranda

We spoke to our Sales Consultant, Erickson Miranda about his experience working for Crown Relocations and his top tips to help you plan your next international move.

How long have you been working for Crown Relocations?

I have worked at Crown for two years so far, starting as a Lead Advisor before taking on the role of Sales Consultant.

Can you explain more about your role as sales consultant?

My role involves managing clients’ relocations and providing support throughout. I speak to my clients to establish their relocation needs, building rapport and earning their trust, and I take pride in tailoring a cost-effective moving package to suit their needs and lifestyle.

What do you love most about working for Crown?

I love that working for Crown offers me the opportunity to connect with people all around the world. I meet, speak to and deal with individuals and contractors from many different countries and cultures. No two days are the same and it is very exciting.

Moving can be a very stressful time. How do you ensure customers moves go smoothly?

A key part of my role is asking customers questions about their planned move, listening to them carefully and fact checking information shared to ensure everyone is aligned. These could include questions about whether they have ever relocated before, their expectations and individual priorities when it comes to moving their goods.

What is a common worry you see from customers and what advice would you give?

Commonly, I see customers worrying about price and in my experience going with a cheaper quote usually means hidden costs further down the line. Crown’s rates cover the costs of the move from door to door. We are completely upfront and transparent.

What has been the most unusual move request that has come through?

Once we had a client who wanted to ship a container full of stones for his company. As we are focused on household goods we do not cover that type of transportation, but it was certainly the most unusual request I’ve come across.

What has been your favourite move to work on?

My favourite was a relocation from Switzerland to Spain, which was highly complex but a move I enjoyed working on thoroughly. There were many issues to consider such as the careful handling of items, packing crates, parking permits and a shuttle service to move goods from the clients’ former property to the truck. What’s more, there were three destination addresses. It was challenging but satisfying and the customer was very happy.

If you ever chose to move away from Prague, what would be your dream city to relocate to?

If I could choose anywhere to move to it would have to be one of the Fiji Islands for their beautiful palm-lined beaches, coral reefs, clear lagoons and relaxed lifestyle.
