Globally we’re making strides in how we can be a more sustainably led organization. Locally, this has led to the creation of the UAE  Employee Sustainability Committee. Our committee will be working on local initiatives with the objective of how we can make a positive impact in our community and improve our processes locally. From this we’ve decided to participate in the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) annual paper recycling campaign ‘Recycle. Reforest. Repeat’ (RRR).

Every year the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought is observed on 17th June. To commemorate this important day EEG, will be rolling out its popular annual paper recycling campaign RRR for the 7th consecutive year. RRR aims to involve households, communities, public and private sectors to participate in the recycling paper campaign and in turn can get an opportunity to participate in our urban afforestation drive.

Land degradation and desertification matters even more in this pandemic induced economic crisis. It means that fewer wild spaces to buffer us from zoonotic diseases and extreme weather patterns, such as droughts, sandstorms, dusts, floods etc. The 2022 Desertification and Drought Day is a unique occasion to remind everyone that land degradation neutrality is achievable through strong community involvement and co-operation at all levels.

With the UAE government paying greater attention to waste management and recycling, we believe this will be a great opportunity to support and contribute to the sustainable waste management practices of the country. 

To help us plant as many tree saplings as possible, we’re asking our customers to donate any paper and documents they no longer need. 

If you would like to take part and help us support our target of 1,000kg of paper please contact us. We’ll supply you with cartons and labels ahead of your move for the recycling (each carton is approximately the size of a cabin bag). Your move manager will also be able to provide you with more information on what can be recycled.
