Turin is not particularly well-equipped in this respect. Generally speaking, in supermarkets and other big shops, there are public places to change diapers, but they aren’t always very clean. Not all of the playgrounds are well-maintained.

As in every other city, children have to be accompanied and watched. There are no particular safety issues.

There are some zoos, such as Zoom and Pombia. There are also water parks. Located near Turin are the Alpi mountains, which are great for skiing (and where the 2006 Winter Olympic Games were held).

The most popular activities are visiting playgrounds and cinemas and participating in special children’s activities organized by the Region.

As in any other big city, there might be some concerns, but generally this is a safe town.

Yes, the Scouts, and then there are groups called Estate Ragazzi for the summer in which there are animators who take care of children.

Yes, there is an organization called “Informa Giovani” for teenagers. Also, you can get information from library books and via the internet.
