Supermarkets are smaller than in the West, but there are several good ones in Chennai, selling most varieties of processed and packaged foods available. Most are professionally managed stores that offer everything that one could possibly think of, including vegetables, fruits, grains, packaged food, ready-to-eat, frozen foods, meats and dairy products. You can buy cosmetics, soap, toothpaste, toilet paper, tissues, foil wrap, detergent, cleaners, bug sprays, etc. Most stores even carry a range of imported goods.
