What are factors that might affect my shopping habits in this country/city?
The variety and choices will be limited. Most expats look forward to a quick break in neighboring Singapore or Bangkok to stock up on their favorite items that are not available locally.

Expats also enjoy shopping for antiques, handicrafts, textiles, jewelry and teak furniture in Myanmar.  These items are an incredible value.
